About Ashley, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Ashley, Illinois is a Washington County city with about 540 residents. This community is also small geographically, consisting of only about 1.2 square miles of total area. Highway 51 leads out of this city and north to Centralia, while following Highway 15 east will lead to Mt. Vernon. Ashley is also located about 68 miles east of St. Louis and 130 miles south of Springfield, IL.

Ashley is an extremely small community, so there are very few attractions located here. In addition to churches, Ashley is home to shopping destinations like the Ashley Dollar Store and Backwoods Crocks. Fortunately, Ashley is located quite close to Mount Vernon, so residents can take advantage of attractions found in this city, as well. Some of the most popular include the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, the Mount Vernon State Game Farm, Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park, and the Hall of Honor and Military Museum.

The weather in Ashley will vary throughout the year, providing for four distinct seasons. Winters are cold, although snowfall is relatively low compared to other parts of the United States. Residents will invest in a home furnace or heat pump system to stay comfortable during the season, and investing in an efficient system will help to keep winter heating costs affordable.

Summers in Ashley can be hot and uncomfortable for residents who don’t have the proper cooling systems in place. With temperatures that commonly exceed 90 degrees, it is imperative that residents have a cool place to retreat in order to escape from the sweltering conditions outdoors. HVAC professionals can help by servicing these units during the cooler spring months in order to ensure that they are working at optimal efficiency when they’re needed. These systems are especially important for older individuals, as they may be at risk of suffering from a heat-related illness without climate controls in place.
